Dr. Agung G. Tan, SpADr. Agung obtained his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine, Gadjah Mada University, Jogjakarta in 1997. He took his pediatric residency training at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Philippines in 2003, where he was well known among his colleague and pediatric consultants as a diligent pediatric resident. His research paper won the first place on the 12th Residents’ Research Paper contest. He was certified as ‘The Most Efficient Senior Pediatric Resident’ of the year in 2005.Dr. Agung continued his studies further, taking Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at The Section of Newborn Medicine, Philippine General Hospital in 2006. He is trained in the use of many kinds of ventilators including high frequency. He also involved in milk bank projects, breast feeding counseling and kangaroo mother care. He was voted as ‘The Most Loved Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine Fellow’ in year 2006.After returning to Indonesia, Dr. Agung completed his adaptation period as a pediatrician at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Indonesia in 2010. His research paper about thyroid hormone profile in septic children was presented at the 6th World Congress Pediatric Critical Care, Sydney – Australia in 2010.Dr. Agung is available from Monday to Saturday at the Jakarta Women and Children’s Clinic to serve children the best possible health care.
